LIONEL TICKETS WERE VALENTINE’S DAY PRESENTS TO EACH OTHER

We had 5th row F2 floor seats. Great up-close view. Lionel sang all his greatest hits, and the audience had a blast singing with him. He was very entertaining, personable, and engaged with his audience. He introduced one of the former Commodores who lives in the area. It was a very nice gesture and got stand-up applause. Lionel’s energy was awesome. His voice and ballads at the piano were just as romantic as they were 30 years - “Truly,” “Still,” “Hello,”, “Three times a lady.” He was very funny when he told the story about how he has been waiting for 34 years for Diana Ross to join him on stage to sing “Endless Love,” and for 34 years she has said no. He said he is still wishing and hoping. He asked all the women in the audience to sing her verses. He went from song to song to song and sang for about an hour and 45 minutes. He ended with “All Night Long.” Lionel’s show was terrific. Hope he returns to Orlando someday.

WE PARTIED ALMOST “ALL NIGHT LONG “ GREAT SHOW!

It was really a great show! Lionel is so personable and all the fans were delightful,! He left everyone with such a great feeling, and I have to say that I haven’t been to a concert that left me feeling so wonderful when I left out of there in a very long time! Thanks smart financial for bringing him here! He left everyone with such a great feeling!

AMAZING 🎸🎸🎸👍👍

What an amazing show Lionel put on last night here in Toronto. The quality and vibe and everything about the show reflected the master performer that this guy is. He sang for an hour and 45 minutes and had perfect timing pitch engagement with the audience and above all energy. He finished the show with “all night long” with the energy and electricity that he started the show with. I have been to many many concerts and this one is right up there as One of the best. Oh and he did all this a week after he turned 70.

SPECTACULAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Saw Lionel Richie tonight at Radio City with my best girls to celebrate my 60th...and celebrate, we did...Lionel was fabulous...he sounded great, he looked great and what a gentleman he is...humble and so appreciative of his fans...I saw Lionel 30+ years ago and it's like time stood still...he's still the Ultimate Performer and if you get the chance, go see him...you'll be so glad that you did... Kudos Mr Richie!!! With Love from the Girls from Queens...

MARYMOOR-PARK REDMOND/SEATTLE

Excellent show, he sang many of his hits (including Commodores) and had the crowd sing along. Hard to stop the crown. Fire was real fire and at 81 degrees on a rainless evening in the PNW, he was amazing. Very engaging and talking to audience. His musicians were great also. Thanks for an excellent Tuesday night in the woods in Washington at Marymoor park ....

WHAT A FEELING!!

Between all the singing and dancing, the Lionel Richie show was a much needed workout. I think the audience forgave him within a minute into Hello his first song for not making it there on Saturday night when he was originally scheduled to perform. My heart truly breaks for the people that couldn’t make it back on Monday night. He and Earth Wind and Fire were absolutely amazing! Lionel’s charm, talent and charisma filled the Garden like no other. I never had so much fun at a concert, he brought the crowed together like we were old friends singing and dancing at a party! If you get the chance this is a must see. 🎹🎤🎺🎷🎸🥁

GREAT SHOW

We had great seats for a great show. We were on the floor, section 1 row 12. He spent a great deal of the show on the runway right next to us. His voice was excellent as was his band. Earth, Wind and Fire was an added bonus. I saw them 10 years ago and they’re as good as ever. Really a great night!

STARTED OUT A BIT SHAKEY

First, EWF was amazing as always! When Lionel opened with Hello, he was about a beat behind the music and it was clear he hadn’t warmed up his voice. I was worried I’d be disappointed but, after a couple songs, he brought it. Ending with All Night Long was the cherry on top. Had an amazing time with Great friends.

FABULOUS FROM START TO FINISH

Earth Wind and Fire were amazing!! I enjoyed their entire performance. Lionel started off a little short on some verses in Hello but when he warmed up he was the Lionel Richie of old. Thoroughly enjoyed this concert.

FABULOUS SHOW FOR BOTH EWF & LIONEL RICHIE

The planning for both of these shows was amazing how they weaved favorite hits, impressive graphics, great music quality by older icons infused with younger energy and audience connection into a joy-filled night. The house was packed and everyone left with a smile on their face and joy beaming from their heart. True professionals! I drove two hours and stayed overnight in a hotel. Worth every cent and minute! Lionel's bit about Diana Ross was hilarious and brilliant showmanship. I'm still smiling...

AWESOME CONCERT

It was so awesome!! I would see it again. Earth. Wind and Fire, put on a great show. They are so good interacting with the audience. They dance and entertain so professional. They still have it going. I was so happy to hear they were opening for Lionel. Speaking of him.. what a great entertainer. You really believe he is singing to you. One of the best concerts I have seen. You can’t miss this show! I missed seeing Elvis and I regret that. Go see this Concert. You will leave with a lot of Love in your heart.

O, WHAT A FEELING!

Lionel is very fun, very upbeat and a great entertainer, no question about it ! Loved the show here in Toronto on June 27th, 2019. His ability to interact with everyone in this full house event was also amazing. Lionel is a little off key, but hay he is 70 years old. My only complaint would be the opening act, she just sucked !! Lionel, keep going as long as you can.

GREAT CONCERT

Really enjoyed this concert. Only disappointment was Lional was an hour late! There was no explanation and no apology, this is unacceptable!

A CONSUMATE ENTERTAINER

This is the 2nd time in 2 1/2 years I've seen Lionel. I'm crazy about him. An incredible entertainer but yes, his voice is abandoning him. Apparently running late is just what he does but once he's on stage, he gives you your monies worth. At nearly $300, my seat was pretty high up but I had opera glasses. He doesn't sing so much as he talks through h I s songs and engages his audience. I flew out from Maryland JUST TO SEE HIM and in spite of the changes time brings, I'd do it again. He's 72 years old and still amazing.

EWF GREAT! LIONEL NOT :(

We were so thankful EWF played first. They played so many hits and it was fabulous to see my age of fans and much younger people also enjoying their music. Really enjoyed EWF, they sounded great!! Lionel sounded very nasal as he may have a cold. But, what was horrible was the sound mixer had the BASS up way, way too high. It was as if a young kid was at the controls. Lionel's music is primarily his voice and the distortion from the overly loud and too much bass was drowning out his voice. I made earplugs from a napkin and when the sound issue wasn't solved, we left after the 4th song. Sad because I enjoyed his showmanship, just hated how his music was being so poorly presented.

GREAT BANDS, BAD AUDIO CREW

High energy and great performances by EWF and Lionel couldn’t overcome the excessive bass which tended to drown out the other players, even the drummers. Maybe I’m getting too old for this type of show. The crowd seemed to love it. I could have a similar experience at a club for fraction of the price 🎸🏴‍☠️🫶

LIONEL WAS A BUST, RAINY EVENING, LAWN SEATS, ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2019

I have loved Lionel Ritchie since I was in High School, during his Commodore days in 1980. That’s 39 years and I am 53. I was unimpressed. First, the opening band came on at 7:30, and Lionel did not come on until almost an hour after they played at about 9pm. Second, He only played for 90 minutes. Third, it sounded like he was singing to Pre-recorded vocals, like on a track. Forth, I wondered if there was lip syncing involved. Lastly, to much talking and “clapping”, not enough singing. It felt condescending. So, I was disappointed. We were sitting in the lawn, in the rain so maybe that had something to do with the sound but I doubt it as I have sat on the Lawn, for concerts many times, and it generally sounds amazing. I feel bad. Saying this, but I think he is past his prime vocally. He has a million other amazing qualities, so that’s why I gave him 3 stars, otherwise it would have been two.

CONCERT WAS OK NOT GREAT

Lionel was 45 minutes late coming out, no respect for our time. Saying Diana Ross was coming out to sing with him, getting the audience all excited to say it was a joke, was NOT funny. But his excessive sweating without doing much about it was disgusting. Voice OK not great.

LIONEL AND EWF

Earth, wind and fire rocked the house. Really great singing ,great music, great entertainment. Unfortunately Lionel Richie should’ve hung up the microphone a few years ago. Very personable, said some wonderful things. Sincere apology about missing the show on Saturday night. Singing days are definitely over.

HIS VOICE/MIC SOUND NOT GOOD!

Earth Wind and Fire sorted out sound issues immediately. Lionel sounded flat, no richness or depth to the sound of his voice. So disappointing.

DID MILE HIGH HAVE AN IMPACT?

Ball Arena was packed last night for EWF and Lionel Richie. So much enthusiasm from an over 65 crowd, impressive! Not long into it, after many missed high notes, I wondered if Phillip Bailey’s lungs were struggling with the altitude. EWF gave an entertaining performance. Lionel Richie’s voice too was not strong. He was often off beat and flat. Wondered if his earpiece was working. And the music and sound mixing for Richie was pretty awful. Way too loud, the music lost its quality. Felt like they thought if they’d blast the sound, they’d cover up what was missing in Richies’ voice. Great light and laser show kept it entertaining.

ARE YOU PEOPLE SERIOUS, OR JUST SUCH BIG FANS UOUL FORGIVE WNYTHING?

He Eas absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE!! Earth, Wind & Fire were a different 'terr' word...TERRIFIC! Lionel came out singing 'Hello', as slow son, rarely done in concerts, but hey...made sense. His voice sounded absolutely awful! Sounded like he was singing through his nose. And everyone in my section was talking about it. The rest of the arena sat stunned. His song selection, while what you'd expect, was poorly arranged. Slow song, then an upbeat one or two where people would get up dance and forget the duck voice he was singing in for a short while, the 2-3 slow ones. Killed the momentum. He blabbered on, then lose track of his point. The drummer, while very talented, was all over the place either behind or faster than the beat. Almost sounded like he was playing a different song at times. Thank GOD for E,W, & F or the was a complete waste of a night...and my $500! You could DRAG me to go see that again! Only got a 2 star due to EWF. It's a 'no' from me dawg

PAST HIS PRIME....NO REAL VOICE LEFT!

Barely sat through Lionel Richie's concert in Canandaigua, N.Y., as I was SO disappointed in his voice. First off, he was ONE HOUR LATE. Seriously, that's ridiculous (as he likes to say!). He hardly sand, he spoke the words, held the mic away from his mouth for many of the notes, and had his band and backup singers-who were great-handle the rest. Having just saw Earth, Wind & Fire last week rock the house with their musicality and vocals, this concert was a waste of time and money. And I LOVE HIM but he needs to admit that his vocals are not tour-worthy any longer. I go to more than 8 concerts a year so I expect 100%. Honestly, I give Lionel a 40%. He talked and used showmanship instead of talent to get him through most of his songs. Needless to say I left early to drive back to Buffalo. SO DISAPPOINTED!

EARTH WIND AND FIRE W/ LIONEL RICHIE

No handicapped parking at the event WHATSOEVER!!! So I, having MS walk almost a mile to HEAR to last two EW&F songs! They sounded wonderful. Sat down during the last song! Or should I say UP! Like WAY UP!!! Our seats were at extremely dizzying heights. OK. So we waited with great anticipation for the man to come on. The writer of MANY great love songs to entertain the excited full house! BUT!!! Someone who works for this legend should definitely lose his or her job because the sound was so bad! I mean I could hear every note of every instrument but the main vocal was simply hideous! It was a farce to pay that much money for the worst seats in the world only to hear a familiar song sung by an incredible band with a singer that sounded like he was in a can! Covered by a pillow with a lack of any tone whatsoever! As his band rang out magnificent tunes, their fearful “leader” struggled with each and every scary note that came out of his mouth. It was so very disheartening to hear! WOW! I think his mic needs batteries or he definitely needs a new sound man for sure! Very disappointing! I deserve all my money back! For sure! It was a 1 on a 1 to 10 scale!
