Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton at Orpheum Theater

Why see Peter Frampton?

Let's Do It Again Tour!

Back stronger than ever, Peter Frampton is returning in 2025 with the Let's Do It Again Tour! In 2019, Frampton was diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease, which was followed by his Finale - The Farewell Tour. However, the rock icon has triumphantly returned to the stage, continuing to perform for his fans and recently celebrating his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

Previously associated with the classic rock bands Humble Pie and The Herd, Frampton enjoyed breakout solo success with the live album Frampton Comes Alive! His distinctive guitar sound, thanks to that crazy talk box effect, and gravel-toned vocals have not dimmed over the years and while this may be a subtler acoustic performance, this living legend sure knows how to win over an audience.

In retrospect, the Peter Frampton Farewell Tour (he has a degenerative muscle disease) concert was fantastic. We had seen him before 20 years earlier, and his humor and love of performing are still there. "Do you feel like we do" is more like a religious experience, and just rocked the place. At one point Sarah yelled so loud he got startled and stopped singing for a second, then chuckled, smiling and continued on. When it was over he profusely thanked the crowd with what appeared to be tearing up eyes, then was helped off the stage. Wonderful experience. ... Read more

Unforgettable

Last night I revisited my past, attending Peter Frampton’s sublime Never Say Never tour’s Boston performance. Frampton at Anaheim stadium, July 6, 1977, was my first concert. I was 13, a huge fan already, and allowed to attend only because my older cousin and his friends who through mad, coordinated dailing won like 9 tickets from radio station KLOS, would be looking out for me. The only thing he looked out for were the bikini clad girls with my binoculars. Thus began my lifelong fandom. I’ve lost count of the number of Frampton concerts I’ve gone to, though admittedly it’s nowhere near the “103”! (yikes) figure one of last night’s concert attendees copped to. Rest assured, Frampton, all your teenybopper fans are now women and men of a certain age - life worn, and perhaps more cultured and worldly - who are still coming to hear you play for no other reason than you are a world class guitarist and seasoned performer. This fan doesn’t get out much anymore because like you I suffer from an autoimmune condition that has destroyed the life I once took for granted. But I couldn’t miss this possibly (hopefully not) last opportunity to hear you play live, so I let my daughter who also attended dress me in a ridiculously short mini dress and short, black booties. It was fun and well worth the physical effort, as you’re not one to disappoint. No matter if you’re sitting down now, I still close my eyes and get chills hearing the distinctive, melodic riffs that I’d recognize anywhere, often emanating from the storied Phenix no less. And like all greats you pay tribute to those that came before. Closing my eyes once reminded me of a time I heard B.B. King’s Lucille crying out the Blues. There were some Segovia-esque riffs that transported me to Spain, and what?!…Tequila? Haha. You mentioned that your mother loved Hoagy Carmichael’s music, then teased that we weren’t familiar with his music. As I mouthed “Stardust”, you followed with a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Georgia on My Mind. That alone was worth the price of admission. If I never see you again live, “…now my consolation is in the stardust of…{your} song.” ... Read more
